About me

I am a PhD student at the University of Edinburgh in the UKRI CDT in Natural Language Processing supervised by Neil Bramley and Dan Lassiter. In my research, I am interested in studying human learning by modeling the mental representations and concepts more broadly. I aim to make use of theories from natural language semantics to inform the class of mental representations used in causal inference and hypothesis formation during learning.

I studied Engineering Physics at the University of British Columbia, and with an emerging interest in psychology and AI, I turned to study the human mind at the Cogmaster in Paris. My Masters Thesis was supervised by Salvador Mascarenhas and Can Konuk where I studied the effects of causal explanations on probabilistic reasoning and causal inference.
