About

Hi! I’m Léo Picat, a medical student at Université de Paris (formerly Université Paris Diderot) where I hope to move towards intensive care. Before that, I graduated from École Normale Supérieure where I obtained a MSc in Cognitive Science. I worked with Salvador Mascarenhas exploring linguistics with a focus on new approaches bringing together semantics and psychology of reasoning.

Here is my resume.

Over there is a handout of a poster I presented at SALT 29. It’s about using psychology of reasoning as a diagnosis tool to study different semantics for might.

Right here is my master’s thesis. It’s about using a dual-task paradigm to provide arguments in favor of a theory of reasoning failures.

Here is a term paper I wrote for a graduate class at ENS. It’s about constraints on natural language binary logical connectives.

Volunteering and trying to improve the college experience of my fellow students has always played a big part in my life. I’ve been involved in various peer support action (pedagogical support, student representative, helpline, etc.). Lately, I’ve been involved in Nightline, an association aiming to improve students’ mental health in France. Currently, I’m looking for new exciting venture to get involved in.
